101 in 1001 Days

I’ve decided to embark on 101 in 1001 days as a challenge because the past two years I’ve been on a huge personal journey to re-build my life, and so I really wanted to take the time to live each day and provide myself a sense of purpose as I evolve toward all that I’ve been manifesting.

101 in 1001 days is exactly what it sounds like, it’s 101 things you’d like to achieve in 1001 days. I’ve decided to start mine today, which means my challenge will complete on Sunday 25 July 2027 – I wonder how many of the items I will have ticked off my list!

The list was begun by Day Zero Project, you can create an account and sign-in if you’re keen to take on the challenge, or read other top list items from those around the world who have also embarked on the challenge. It’s such a simple concept but actually a lot harder to think of items that are both doable in time and budget, making them realistic to achieve!

The reason I’ve been so inspired to restart something I originally read about ten years ago, is because of exactly that reason, time, or rather my concept and use of time. I was 26 when I first read about the challenge and so much has happened in that time, but there’s still so much I’d love to achieve. In a post-Covid world it feels more important than ever to enjoy my days particularly after remaining resilient through so much trauma this past 18-24 months. I figured if I’d already worked my way through more than 700 days of challenges in my life, then I could focus 1001 days on doing things to help me experience life more fully as a challenge too.

I’ve decided to help me tackle the challenge, I’ll divide up the challenge into plannable digestible parts. The idea being that I will split the challenge across four topics – ‘Personal’, ‘Professional’, ‘Adventure’, & ‘Cultural’. As that doesn’t quite divide into 101 I’ve added the extra item into my ‘Personal’ section.

You can read my list below, but I’ve also added it to the main menu where I’ll be actively updating it – if you’re interested you can follow along and read my updates. Be sure to share in the comments whether you’d take on the 101 in 1001 challenge, maybe you already have? I’d love to hear about what was or is on your list too! I’ll aim to keep you all updated with my progress as I embark on items to complete the list – and hey, maybe even add new items or create new wish list adventures!

These items mainly relate to me as an individual, a part of helping to further my journey and evolution through my lived experience – but also allow me to become the woman I’m manifesting both internally and externally. Plus a few experiences to help me find gratitude, improve my life and have a little fun along the way!

These are all the aims and ambitions I have that relate to my career, this list is pretty extensive and there’s some large items in there – so I think I’m going to slightly bend a rule & say it’s okay to be working toward these things by the finish date because I’d rather complete them without rushing and know that my core value of integrity has been applied to all that I do professionally.

& that pals, is my 101 in 1001 list!

If 101 in 1001 seems a little daunting to you, maybe something a little shorter may feel more digestible. I know I definitely put off planning my 101 in 1001 a few times due to its gargantuan size and length of time. To get more comfortable, I began a 36 at 36 list, which was really to help me expand my horizons, re-establish my boundaries and connect more fully with my life after turning 36.
You can follow my progress on that list here, which is due to complete on May 7 2025, my birthday!

My final act as part of this challenge is to write a letter to myself that I will seal and hideaway until the challenge completes, I’ve not written the letter just yet – but I’m hoping to do that before the end of this week and it’ll be interesting to read it 1001 days from now!
