I
What is your name?
I rarely use my full legal name online, but Pixii Ophelia Rose is my alias, my stage and professional name. You may call me Pixii or Pixii Rose. Depending what path you followed to here adventurer, you may also know me as KG, KiKi or Krystal, but Pixii will do just fine. I like to keep my professional and real life persona separate, a little mystery in life is everything. Its no great mystery of course, but I find for balancing my life it helps me to have a little separation between where I start and finish online and offline. A way to keep a little part of myself for myself.
My pronouns are She/Her.

Why Pixii Ophelia Rose?
Derived from folklore, “pixie” refers to mythical, playful, and mischievous creatures from English traditions, particularly in Cornwall and Devon. The name conveys whimsy, magic, and a sense of curiosity. So why Pixii? Well I am indeed a pixie though in a particularly turbulent time of my life where I was rebuilding my connection and relationship with myself, I discovered Avicii. I just felt an instant connection to the music and the stories told in the songs – I felt like I had unlocked something in myself when I was able to just dance and lose myself in the music. I was devastated to learn of Avicii’s death and so in honour I began spelling Pixie, as Pixii. The lyrics ‘Live a life you will remember’ have become my ethos.
Ophelia is the tragic heroine in William Shakespeare’s Hamlet. Although Ophelia’s story is heart-breaking and poignant, the name also represents beauty and selflessness. I adore Shakespeare’s and in my late-teens and early twenties invested a lot of time in learning about Shakespeare and performing in theatre productions – I chose not to continue that career path and so Ophelia is my ode to that era of my life.
Rooted in Latin (rosa), it represents the flower associated with beauty, love, and resilience, often symbolising layers of complexity. Long a symbol of love and passion, the ancient Greeks and Romans associated roses with Aphrodite and Venus, goddess of love. Used for hundreds of years to convey messages without words, they also represent confidentiality. The rose is one of my favourite flowers and it is also a national emblem for parts of England where I have spent most of my life living.
I’ve had many names in the past, many titles but post-pandemic I began to emerge an evolved version of myself, and that is when I became Pixii Ophelia Rose, or, Pixii.
III
Where do you hail from?
My ancestry is of Celt, Scottish & English but my heritage is rather more intricately woven & I’ve loved learning about my code including the French, Spanish and roots that intricately and delicately sit within my DNA. I was born to the rolling hills and little rivers of the Shire, as mentioned in my bio, though I have lived in many towns, cities, counties and countries. I’ve resided in many places on my adventure so far, before taking the long road to the North. It was in the far North that I found my heart and spiritual home. My home home will always be the hill-laden horizon of the West lands & Western Isles with their ancient, rugged coastlines, the Three Counties & Cotswolds will always be homely to me, but it is in the far North that I have found myself and my home.

How would you describe yourself?
Empath | Philomath | Coach | Guru | Self-Believer | Wise Woman | Peace-Keeper | Trailblazer | Creative | Daydreamer.
I am absolutely my folks daughter too, my ballet dancer mother, artist, musician, bohemian fae turned country woman & then pilgrim not only encouraged me to express myself independently from childhood, but instilled in me her wild spirit, lust for life, belief in faith & love for those closest to her.
My father, a learned man, a scientist and engineer with a passion for the night sky and physics not only enabled me to study and use technology from childhood, but also continued to nurture my interests and inspire me to seek knowledge for myself.
My folks are my heroes first and foremost – for they were the first people who taught me love and to live in the world. They gave me life. Their own journeys in this life have greatly shaped my own understanding and becoming as a woman in my life.
They taught me to love the outdoors, to be at one with nature, to be comfortable in myself & my own company without feeling the need for outer validation.
My mother and father while equally different compliment each other in life, it’s an honour to be their daughter and to embody their traits while discovering and become who I am in my own way too on my own path as an adventurer.

Are you dating or in a relationship?
I don’t discuss or share much of any of my relationships online, that is a part of my life that I like to keep private – I identify as bi and I’m mostly initially attracted to people through energy based interactions – therefore I never really felt the need to use dating apps, focusing more on meeting people IRL. I do talk about my feminine code, experiences and journeys into exploring my own relationship with myself but my personal relationships are I feel for me personally more authentically lived offline, but you may find snippets of moments and occasions from time to time.
However, I will share one of my earliest dating experiences – I was picked to be a contestant on the French ‘Blind Date’ (ooh la la) – hosted at my High School in collaboration with other high schools in the tri-county area, I had to ask my suitors all the questions in French & they of course had to answer in French too! It was featured in the newspaper – so here, enjoy 16 year old me picking a suitor (Andreas, it was never meant to be but thank you for being my blind date & always so lovely to me in fact!). This day caused real teenage DRAMA (hi, it’s me) – maybe one day I’ll pour you the tea.

How are you characterised? How would you describe your style?
I am petite in stature, with naturally blue eyes and blonde hair. I usually keep my hair mid-to long length though sometimes I can be found rocking a short-sleek cut. My natural hair colour is a Californian-honey-blonde with ashy tones though from time to time I tone it white-silver blonde or go darker or tone with pastel shades of lilac, blue, aqua & pink. Mostly I can be found wearing it curly-ish in some tone of blonde. Currently I have extra long hair courtesy of the immaculate Tom at Renegade, Leeds.
I like to play dress-up but natural is my go-to look and honestly these days, I’m more likely found with just my natural skincare routine, a dash of mascara and lip balm – which all of course are finished off with SPF and a sprinkling of rose water & I drink plenty of water!
My style changes depending on my mood, the season, my era, or even sometimes the activity of the day but for the most part I’d describe my style as eccentric and eclectic. A mix of bohemian wildling, with country chic, alt-gal urban punk-rock with hobbity/cottage-core, a regal historical sprinkling & a dash of vintage. Though if you see me in the wilds, I’ll be head to toe in practical all-weather gear.
I dress for myself day by day depending on my vibe.
Nose & ear piercings, lots of little moles which look like constellations dotted around my body creating a map of the night sky. Three star shaped mini-scars from life-saving surgery & a small birthmark in a place known only to me, my mother and my life partners.

What makes your heart burn with desire?
The hills, mountains, dramatic expansive landscapes, I’ve definitely a wanderlust heart.
The stars, the endless night sky.
Dance, the way the human spirit & body entwine with music.
Fantasy, folklore & the mythical stories of the world and those beyond our physical realm.
Wellness & spirituality – how we connect to the cosmos around us & live the lives we are destined to live.
The humans I love most in this world, though I try to look for the good in all things & experiences as well as being at peace consistently within myself emitting that calmness outwardly to the universe.

Tell me about your hobbies, your passions…
Aside from the arts, adventure, space & games, I adore anything creative, spiritual, steeped in history, out among the wildness of nature, or at home deep in one of my books or journals. I adore learning and would consider myself a philomath, I often take courses to continue self-study with organisations and establishments around the world.
Spirituality, mind & body as well as wellness are all topics that sit atop of my passions. While I evolve as a human and let my interests develop, these have become areas in which I love to use my time and energy to communicate & align myself with the cosmos, so that I may help others.
☽☾
IX
What did you & are you studying currently?
I absolutely adore learning, choosing to further my knowledge & education at every opportunity that I can. Prior to completing my degree in Journalism (Print & Broadcast (major) with Documentary) I completed fourteen GCSE’s including Mathematics, Double Science (Biology, Chemistry & Physics), English Literature, Language, Drama Studies, Textiles, Media Studies, Geography & more, A Level in Photography, AVCE in Performing Arts, AS Level Contemporary Dance, Ballet & Contemporary, Communications Key Skills & an award with RADA in Shakespeare.
After my degree I began studying online adding to my knowledge base through a plethora of courses in topics that were both of interest & for evolving my professional career path.
I took time to do the Masterclass sessions with Chris Hadfield in Space Exploration, Acting with Helen Mirren & Natalie Portman & Creative Writing with Margaret Atwood. I’ve completed Atmospheric Chemistry: Planets & Life Beyond Earth with the University of Leeds.
In 2021 following the worldwide pandemic, I completed my Covid 19: Psychological First Aid course with Public Health England.
I will throughout winter and into 2025 be continuing to study in the field of space exploration, digital evolution, fashion & wellness as I continue to evolve my personal passions, my professional business & career.

What is your dance background?
I have done classical Ballet since the age of five, I absolutely love all forms of dance & expressive performance. I did Gymnastics from the age of seven.
My favorites include Ballet, Contemporary & Commercial dance. I fell in love with dance as a young girl, the magic of The Lord of the Dance struck my spirit hard, though in later life, after witnessing the magic of Circue Du Soleil & the Russian Moscow State Circus, I knew I wanted to entwine circus arts & dance into my repertoire.
I began classes in Aerial Hoop & Silks, in 2025 I am returning to the world of dance. I will be doing Hoop & Aerial alongside dance, yoga & meditation.
In my spare time I plan to continue expressing myself through dance & to further my own flexibility & skill, I plan to partake in dance courses in my local area for Burlesque, Lyrical & Contemporary.

How did your love of gaming evolve?
Since my early childhood I’ve enjoyed playing board & video games. I used to play on my first ever desktop PC (when PC’s were monochrome display only!) Space Quest, my father then provided me with a colour desktop PC and I continued to play Space Quest evolving later, to the Sega Mega-drive that I shared with my little brother. On to my first PlayStation, where I played a mixture of racing & adventure games including Spyro the Dragon & of course The Spice Girls game!
In my twenties I discovered Skyrim & this led me back into the world of video games, these days I play on PC via Steam on all manner of games, many of which I stream via Twitch. I also play on PlayStation. Discover more of my gaming adventures in time on the blog.
I adore D&D and RPG’s and while I haven’t been involved in a party for a while, it’s something I plan to do a little more of in time. During the lockdown though, I did get back into Warhammer and have been building Age of Sigmar models for adventures in the Mortal Realms!

That’s all for here, but in my posts and features you can find out a little more about me. Feel free to explore those posts under the tag, alternatively you can explore my bio and my 36 at 36 & 101 in 1001 challenge posts.
Do you have any guidance for someone looking to begin blogging?
Of course, you’ll find no gatekeeping upon my shores – we learn from one another as we evolve and encourage one another to level up. Therefore the greatest guidance I can offer is – do it, but embark on it because you love it – because it keeps you interested in life, exploring your own evolution & if it develops beyond to a livelihood of sorts, then fantastic. The surest way to burn out and become lost is to do it for financial purposes and then feel duty-bound to keep creating. It’s not rocket science, but it requires authenticity.
It’s okay to take breaks from blogging or creating content of any kind and above all, stay balanced. Life requires consistent moderation – everyday is a new equation that we must figure the formula to.
